First Annual ENT National Convention
Dayton, OH – Epsilon Nu Tau Fraternity held the first ENT National Convention at the University of Dayton on November 14, 2010. Brothers from ENT chapters across America traveled to Dayton, Ohio for some great entrepreneurial collaboration! Members participated in team building sessions, social events, an elevator pitch competition, and a marketing contest designed around the unique, high-growth BBQ franchise, OinkADoodleMoo.
Each chapter was given an overview of the company, a set of guidelines, and a little over an hour to create a strategic marketing plan for OinkADoodleMoo. Judging the competition were Mark Peebles, Founder & President and Ralph Gamberdella, Co-Founder of the fast-casual BBQ joint. Peebles and Gamberdella said they were quite impressed with the useful presentations given by members of Epsilon Nu Tau.
“Had a great session with Epsilon Nu Tau, where they really presented relevant marketing plans for us as a franchising company,” expressed Peebles. “Very impressed with what you’re doing with Epsilon Nu Tau and wish you the best of luck in the future…look forward to seeing many great companies come out of this organization.”
Co-Founder Ralph Gamberdella said “I was pretty impressed – in the short span of time they had to present the facts and figures, I felt there was a lot of value that came out of it.”
ENT’s Beta Chapter from Texas State University went on to win first place in the marketing competition and Rob Starrett from the Alpha Chapter won first place in the elevator pitch competition. The Beta Chapter plans to continue collaboration with OinkADoodleMoo and to help create a full-blown marketing plan for the company within the next few weeks.
